Carl Greene, 90, Valparaiso, formerly of North Salem, died
Wednesday in V.N.A. Hospice at Valparaiso.
Mr. Greene was retired from the Operating Engineers Local 150.
He attended Danville schools and served in the Army during World
War II.
He was born July 10, 1913, at Knoxville, Tenn., to C.C. and
Bessie May Lawson Greene. He married Mary A. Neff on Sept. 15,
1940, at Ladoga. She is deceased.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Sexton, Portage,
Charlene Loveless, Lake Station, Va., and Virginia Aubrey,
Hebron; a son, Bob, Valparaiso; three brothers, Bob, Elmo and
Kyle; three sisters, Maebell Vaughn, Christine Huggler and Ann
Smith; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Janet Davis, and a great-grandson are
deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Porter
Funeral Home, North Salem, with Kyle Greene officiating. Burial
will be in Fairview Cemetery, North Salem. Friends may call 1-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
